Someonecommented that hydroxyquinoline (oxine) is a photographic
developer and readily available at any photographic supply shop.
Oxine is not a photographic developer, hydroquinone is. Local supliers
of photographic chemicals have never heard of 8-hydroxyquinoline and the
Merch Index lists it only as a fungicide and analytical reagent.
