Sugar I would imagine is about as sterile as you can get without
sterilization. Not to many life forms can live on pure sugar-and refined sugar
is in an almost pure state. look how long that piece of candy will be around
that falls behind the fridge.
Sugar works well If you do not have a source of fine sand. Fine sand is
better-Yes but sometimes you have to make do with what you have.
