Here's a warning for some of you. I have had several flats of annuals
and perennials outdoors for the past week or so. They are doing OK, but
yesterday I put out a flat of 3 dozen Convulvulus plants. This morning
they were torn to shreds. All but two of them had been either picked of
at the soil line or picked off and then uprooted. No other plants were
touched. I can't think of what might have done this damage. Can't be
squirrels...no digging! The only possibility is mourning doves. I guess
I'll have to cover the flats with wire mesh. What a pain. At least I
have tine to replant.
