Re: seed to swap, and info requested about Deno books

Carrie,

According to what Tom Clothier says in the article accompanying his
index of Deno's works, the supplements are needed because they not
only add more information on other species, but in some cases
supersede the information in the original book.

It appears, from current currency conversion rate (typical cash -
http://www.oanda.com/converter/classic), that you'd be better off
buying the books direct from Norm Deno as £17 is $26.42 US and,
according to the info. on Tom's page, Deno sells the book postpaid
anywhere in the world for $20.00US (£11.85) and the supplements for
$15 (£8.89) each, whereas £14.50 is $22.50. Of course, what
exchange rate you can get will probably differ from this as they
change all the time and it depends on who you're doing business with
for the exchange, but still...seems you very well might save a fair
amount doing it direct.

Tom gives particulars on payment options as well as Deno's address on

http://www.anet-chi.com/~manytimes/page65.htm

just scroll down to the subheading "Seed Germination Theory and
Practice: "

From what I've read, the easiest way to pay "cash" for something
overseas is to use Ruesch International http://www.ruesch.com/

Haven't used them myself, but have read many posts about importing
plants and paying for them without using a credit card that sing
their praises.....
