I'm kind of responding to Daniel S. in Indonesia, but not about
Philadelphus seed in particular...When they talk about needing 60
days of cold treatment, I think they mean to sow the seed in growing
medium (peat/sand/perlite/ soil mix, whatever) in pots and THEN
refrigerate the pots (in a plastic bag, or a plastic-domed
"mini-greenhouse). The seed needs to be in the soil mixture in the
cold for X number of weeks.
