Thanks for everyone's comments and info. I'll give it another try. I'm always
trying to grow things that's not supposed to here. I just love tropical
plants. I've successfully kept banana, bird of paradise, heliconia, mexican
bird of paradise (Caeselpinia), African tulip tree (Spathodea), Plumeria,
Flame of the Forrest (Delonix regia), as well as lemon, satsuma, navel orange.
With exceptions to the citrus trees, all have been started from seed and
are growing in tubs (including the citrus). I drag them all in a make shift
greenhouse on my patio to over winter. This year Jacaranda and Bauhinia and
Tabebuhia gets the honors.
