You don't say where you live, but Rose of Sharon germinates quite easily
for me here in South Central Texas. I soak the seeds overnight in warm
water, then plant in my general seed starting medium, keep them watered,
and in a few weeks I have seedlings. They do like warm temps, soil at about
70F, or so.
