In a message dated 98-01-29 10:08:57 EST, you write: << We've all heard that the Indians buried fish under their corn. Can I dig a trench - line it with fish - cover with soil and plant ? I envision the raccoons having a big party. Any other caveats ? >> well just the raccons ans the stink- man dead fish realy stink!!!! So if you do bury them make sure you cover them good. I would not plant right over the dead fish though - the rotting corpses will not do the roots much good. If the pond has a lot of "weeds" in it --they make a much better fertilizer than the dead fish.
