I must say that I think as owner of this list Duncan can guide it as he
thinks appropriate - always accepting that having set up such a useful list
which so many people find valuable he has thereby taken on a certain
responsibility to us too. But if he doesn't like the way we use the list it
he can say so, and if we don't like the way he manages the list anyone can
simply unsubscribe (and set up a different list if they feel like it). But
here's no excuse for f--- words in this situation.

Personally, I don't at all mind seeing requests for sources of seed for
individual plants being posted any more than news of good catalogues being
posted simply because someone wants to make a good source better known. But
if Duncan feels this is outside the scope of the list then I'll certainly
not take offfence and unsubscribe.

Without Duncan there would be no list. If you don't like the way it's run,
email him privately with a rational argument for change. Or start a new
list.
