Hi I am desperately seeking seeds of S.
californica, and wonder if someone could help me find a source. I know this is
not the proper forum for this inquiry, but I have tried so many other without
success.
In my experience with growing Solidago from seed
I have found that germination rates are often increased by placing the seeds
outdoors in cold weather for about four - six weeks. As an example I can mention
S. speciosa, which at 70 only had one seed germinate after 11 days, while seeds
placed outdoors April 4, and taken back indoors by April 28 had a germination of
31 within 8 days.
