Re: Help with odd species


Hi again Jaime

On looking through yet another book I found that Nothoscordum is also 
an onion-like species. It used to be called Allium fragrans but you 
know biologists.... It is a S-American species but has spread in 
Europe and California. It was placed in a different genus because it 
does not smell like onion and the petals are fused at the base. Color 
is whitish with some red. Grows to about one foot, flowers in May.
