Folks,
Would I be wasting my time to try grafting onto the rootstock of one year
old pecan seedlings? They are freshly dug and dipped in root preservative.
Also, how long do I have to actually do a graft. One minute, two, etc. I'm
an extreme novice and afraid the rootstock will wither in my hands.
I plan to plant them into a field and let them more or less fend for
themselves. I will mulch them.
Also, should I apply a growth hormone to the scion, rootstock, neither or
both.
I'm interested in trying to get them to grow, so I can retire wealthy and
good looking. Instead of just good-looking:)
Thanks you all for your expertise!
