Tobacco is fairly easy to grow from seed.  You should plant them on the surface
without covering them with soil.  Soak the soil thoroughly.  To insure a humid
environment, cover the container you use with a plastic baggy until the plants
sprout.  Keep the soil temperature at about 75 deg. F.  You should see the
seedlings begin to sprout in about 12 days - once they are up, remove the
plastic covering to keep a fungus from zapping your new plants.  Good luck!
