Linda;
I have propagated Fritillaria from seeds several times. I had F.
pallidiflora, F. meleagris, F. nigra, F. pyrenaica, and F. sachalinensis in
bloom this spring, all grown from seeds. My experience is that Fritillarias
need cold treatment to germinate. I sow them in the autumn and leave them
outside under snow cower over winter. Then they germinate next spring. If
you don't have snow the fridge may be useful. They don't grow fast and take
3 to 4 years to bloom.
Happy growing.
