My comments. I will not monitor the list. The work involve to monitor
a list is way to much. This is what I do for owning four mailing list.
First: I belong to the digest format for all my mailing list. The
process to subscribe is defined on the Seeds-list URL.
Second: I delete all my digest mail when it comes in.
Third: I view all my garden mailing email on the Mallorn Garden Mailing
list archives
http://www.mallorn.com/lists
Fourth: I go to the month of interest and read all the threads via the
homepage.
Five: If I want to reply to a post, I select the active mailing list
link (ex seeds-list@eskmo.com) and a window pops up.
Next, I press the quote button on my mailing list program. You should
see the whole message from that page appear on your email editing window
in addition to other stuff. Remove the extra material and then compose
your reply.
Six.. send the note back to the mailing list.
Yes there are alot of post which do repeat themselves, but that is the
normal life of a mailing list. If you want to see if a certain subject
has been discussed, use the mailing list search engine.
http://www.mallorn.com/lists/seeds-list/search.cgi
These tools were created to make your life a little bit easier.
I hope this helps.
