Jason,
Have you grown tomatos at this time of year before?
Most deep southern gardeners have finished with their tomatos by June in your
part of the country.
Its true that tomatos will bloom in the intense heat but seldom set fruits
until the temps are more to their needs and liking.
(same with peppers).
In my area it is unusually hot and the beans dont like it either..Everything
slows down as a self protective mechanism.
However nights here cool off much more than yours so setting is somewhat
better as a result.
But hang in there if you can keep the plants strong and healthy when your
weather cools down to favorable levels they will set and bear for you
then. You have a long growing season there (if they can take the temps)As I
recall your weather in Dec.can be quite nice.(I used to live there, long
ago.)Dont forget Toms are actually a tropical plant that never stops growing
( in its natural habitat)its only in the north that its used as an annual.
Hey,
Connie
