I realize this reply may be a bit late but hope it helps.  I took two cuttings
from my Clerodendron ugandense, dipped them in "willow water" (water in which I
have willow tree & pussy willow branches rooting), then used hormone powder # 8
strength, planted them in seed-starting mix, put a plastic glass with a hole in
the top over it, kept it in a semi-shaded place in the greenhouse for a couple
weeks & eventually, they put forth roots and even buds!  Hope this helps.  Judy
