Re: Seeds in hot water

Regarding seeds soaked in hot water:

I have soaked many seeds in hot water, but not boiling water. The
boiled water actually splits or explodes the seed. The seeds that I
have soaked include:

Lupines
Morning Glories
Sweet Peas
Pole beans

Also I have taken a nail file and sanded "a tip" a bit on these seeds
so that they can absorb water more readily and speeds up germination.
What also helps with alot of seed, is planting them in soil that has
been watered with warm water before you sow the seeds. Then cover
them up with soil, and put a bit of saran wrap over it. Take the
corner of the wrap and open it the next day and leave it open or you'll get a
good spread of mould. This should help.
