Mary,
Now is a good time to sow perennial seeds; they have time to grow
on a bit before winter hits. But don't expect your aquileqia to look
like your friend's flowers....Aquilegia are, as one book says,
"thoroughly immoral" and cross-pollinate with any aquilegia nearby.
It's fun to see what new types emerge and they are going to be pretty
anyway!
