spring is the best time for cuttings on woody plants. there is new tender
growth. take tip cuttings, this is where the cells are actively dividing.
use a rooting hormone,put the cuttings into oasis cubes. put them under
mist, they will root in 2-3 weeks. remove from mist after rooting. pot into
a larger pot, 6 in. or so. keep watered and fertilized. plant into the
garden to become established before summer heat can really stress the new
plant. the new plant needs plenty of TLC the first year. water and
fertilize.....happy gardening, chris.
