Re: bamboo

Hi
Bamboo blooms about every 80 - 110 year. The flowers produce thousands of
seeds. They grew very easy. The mother-plant will normally die after
finishing its life-cycle.
Put the seeds i normal soil and keep moist but not wet. Let the pots stay
outside during winter, but protect from very low temp (less than minus 5-6
deg Celsius). In spring You will find small tiny "grass"-like plants in
the pots. You don't need to do anything, but put the plant (with the soil
left around) to the final place.
Good luck!
PS
If You don't have the patience to wait for flowers, you can divide Your
plants into two or more parts.
Soil should be "normal" garden soil, moist but not wet, pH5,6 - 7,2 and
not to much clay. The bamboo top will normally dry after dividing, but
they will survive.
