RE: Rosa glauce/Anthryscus

Rose seeds are hard little stinkers, literally. I scarify them before
sowing and then they germinate nicely. They're small, round and slippery and
the first time I tried traditional efforts at scarification I was bounding
all over the room to catch flying seeds. The "sandpaper in a jar" method
was, also, ineffective. So, I finally just did them individually, pinching
them in between my fingers and wearing off both the seed coat and my skin.
In the absence of scarification, the extra round of cold moist
stratification ought to do the trick. Good luck!

Sometimes roses take two stratifications. I had some rose seed that took
two years to come up.

Nothing.
