alpine Strawberries

Hi,
I ordered some seeds of alpine strawberries
(ruegen) and the package said to use cold treatment; however, it did not say how
long. Does anyone know, or where I could find the info? If you have
any other info about propagating these seeds, I would appreciate
it.
