Title: Re: Turmeric
Here's a question to get this started. I've got a tumeric root that I want to propagate. Anyone know how small a piece I can cut and still have it take? Someone I was talking to said you could cut thin slices the size of a nickle but I'm wondering if that's a bit too extreme.

Are you sure you want to cut it? I would be afraid the cut
end would enable rot to take hold. Where are you
located? Tumeric (Curcuma longa and also spelled
"turmeric") is commonly found in Indian (as in India) food
stores.
