Re: GA-3-Use & Propagation Questions

Hi and thanks Kitty,
but no, I do not have Deno's books. Every year I
promise myself I will buy these books, but alas another
year rolled by and here I am again with no further info.
I purchased some seeds of an Aquilegia from Gardens
North that require/would benefit from the GA-3 treatment,
and I have other aquilegia seeds that have not germinated
(from last year) maybe I could give them a try.
Anyone else out there with suggestions? Any input would be
appreciated.
I reread some of my notes from 2004 and saw that Judy Showers
had used this method on Iris ? (was it ) Any comments as to your
success Judy (if you are still here)?
TIA to all,
Ronnalee in now stormy Wiarton, Ontario.

Lee,
Do you have either of Deno's books? He specifies on which seeds he used
GA-3 and the results. Perhaps you could find something inthere you'd like
to try.

Hi,
Is there anyone here that has GA-3 experience and if so
what seeds have you tried to germinate using this product.
I purchased if for one of my Aquilegia seeds and now have
the left over GA-3 mixture sitting here.
I have read that it can be refrigerated (in solution form) for
a wee bit and any of the powder should also be kept cool
and that it has a short shelf life of approx. 2 yrs.
Anybody?
TIA,
Ronnalee, Wiarton, Ont. Zone 5a/5b -raining now & washing
away some of the snow.
