I am germinating the Old Fashioned Flowers "Agrostemma". I have two colors of the same species - Purple Queen and Lilac-Rose. Directions say to plant in sandy soil (I am using soiless mixture) well drained but kept moist. I am using bottom heat and grow lights. The Purple Queen germinated in less than 7 days - Lilac Rose did not germinate at all - 100% failure. Tried a second time with same results. Package directions the same for both colors. Any ideas on what to try next? Perhaps moist towel in fridge for a week? Would be glad to hear from anyone. Thanks Merlene
