I am sure that you can successfully 'keep' many germinated seedlings in Turface
for a year or more. My point was that these plants would all have done far
better if moved on when just germinated. By not moving plants on you are
basically going to lose the best part of a good growing season and end up with
leggy, overcrowded plants which will suffer horrendous root damage when you
separate them - unless of course you only germinated a single plant in your pot
of Turface. I don't want to labour a point but many people look to these notes
for advice and they should really get advice that is best for the plants - if
they wish to modify that then it's fine.
