Hello everyone,
I am new to this seed starting business and I have been learning a lot from
you guys. Right now I have 13 little newspaper pots filled with a growing
medium and seeds I planted two weeks ago. So far I have been able to
germinate only one species, malva sylvestris. The growing medium I am
using is a mixture of vermiculite, perlite and an organic potting soil
containing worm castings, compost, and some other things I can't remember
right now. I am keeping the tray holding the pots on top of the
refrigerator, where it is warm. The refrigerator is close to a window so a
lot of light comes through. I keep the soil consistently moist but nothing
seems to be really happening. Is there something wrong with my growing
medium or what? Any advice you can give a newcomer would be greatly
appreciated.
