Here is the problem I have, if you see your name with a number next to
it and would like to be removed, please send me a personal note for this
request. The ISP said I had a broken link in the command structure and
people were not removed.
If you see your name mentioned TWICE, do you want two postings?
If your name does not have a number next to it, you will be added to the
list or you have changed your email address and you need to tell me
which address needs to be removed.
If you name is not on this list, you are ok.
This list contains new subscribers who signed on correctly and
unsubscribers who sent me personal notes that did not get removed due to
the broken inhouse command link.
This is per my ISP ESKIMO:
The files in your smartlist directory aren't really files, they are
symbolic links, which point to the real files in
/usr/smartlist/seeds-list. Somewhere along the line the link got
blown away, so instead of a pointer to the real file you had two
separate
files. I recreated the link for you, and moved the file called "dist"
to
"dist.orig". Because of the way the symbolic links work, you should
only
use the "cp" command to backup the file, then either edit the backup and
copy it over the link (this will alter the real file and leave the link
intact), or edit the file itself. One of those tricky quirks that takes
some getting used to =)
I revised the dist file per the subscribers request and as you can see
the command did not go through.
REMEMBER TO SEND ME A PERSONAL NOTE. DONT BOTHER THE READERS OF
SEEDS-LIT.
Just think of all the fun I will have. I have a sick child today, so
please
have mercy.
