Dear Marlynn
I use GA-3 to germinate certain alpine species and have had good results
with it.
I obtained my GA-3 from a Botany professor at a college in Vancouver, but
it can be purchased from Rika, who is a subscriber to this list, through
her nursery, I believe. Sorry I haven't got her e-mail address handy so
you may want to post a message to her. I soaked my seed in a solution of
1000 ppm and had germination in approximately 2 weeks for Gentiana and also
use it for Saxifrage.
I recommend Professor Norman Deno's Germination Theory Book.
