J.L Hudson says this about Olea europaea:
Clip the pointed end of the seed (or sow in the fall) and plant 1/2" deep
in sandy soil.
Germinates in 5-20 weeks and grows rapidly, up to 2 feet the first year.
Trees normally begin to bear at 5 years, but can bear the secaond year.
I planted some about 3 weeks ago after clipping the end of the seed.
Nothing showing yet. I'm keeping them at a warm temp, 70 deg F.
