Re: Salvias

Salvia staminea is mentioned in the first of Christine Yeo's two excellent
salvia booklets. It's decribed as a herbaceous perennial reaching 75cm and
hardy to at least -10C. The flowers are white with purple spots and carried
in whorls from May to August. Sorry, can't help with S. coahuilensis.

The two salvia booklets, by the way, are available from Pleasant View
Nursery, Two Mile Oak, Denbury, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 6DG, UK. Both
books have 52 pages with 54 colour pictures. The first book is priced at
£5.95, the second at £6.95. Postage is 50p each in the UK, £1 in the EU and
£1.50 to the US and elsewhere.
