I'm not Don, but can answer that "it's good".
Osmocote is time released fertilizer that washes into the soil with each
watering. It is used by florists so that the plant they sell gets continued
fertilizer. It eventually becomes a hollow bead - very harmless but it sound
like yours if you squeeze it still has some fertilizer in it. I would reuse
the soil in outdoor plantings it will continue to fertilize outdoors.
Toss the wet begonia soil into the outdoors garden. Plant the begonia in
fresh, well draining plant soil.
