Gaura lindheimeri germinated for me planted 1/16" deep in germ. mix, covered
with foil to keep dark and put at 65-70 degrees. Germination started in 7
days.
Malva sylvestris germinates over a long period of time at 70 degrees. Put the
pots outside after danger of frost is over, keep them shaded and moist and
they will germinate little by little for a couple months.
Verbascum phoeniceum didn't germinate for me inside from seeds I had saved
from my own plants. I think they are best planted in situ in spring...I have
oodles of seedlings every year around my mature plants.
Hope this helps.
