RE: Root Cuttings,

In my experiences, root cuttings generally do much better, that is form
adventitious shoots, when the media is very porous.  A high oxygen level
seems to result in faster and generally better development of a shoot.

I have also found gentle bottom heat beneficial, 70-75deg F.
