This is my first year growing black berry lilies so I'm certainly no expert. Mine did come up within a month. Maybe living in Florida helps. I planted them out in full sun then heard they were shade plants. I contacted the lady who sent them to me to see if they should be moved. She lives in Arkansas and raises hers in pots in full sun on a concrete patio and they do very well even when not watered while she is away on vacation. Trudy
