Last year I started some McKana Giant columbines from seed. Can't remember
where I got the seed, but I am getting some wonderful colors that I have never
seen before in columbine. My Question: Can I hand pollenate to self the
individual flowers so that they will breed true or will they still send out
different progeny. I have some great seed saver sleeves, so that I can
protect against bee pollination, but I don't know if they will breed true when
selfed. Donna Adams in Detroit, Michigan
