Hi folks
I'm new on this list, but I wondered if someone can advise me on the
propagation of Allium. I've got a nice species (A. roseum I think)
and I noticed that it small red minibulbs between the flowers. At the
moment they are in full flower and the bulblets are only 3mm in
diameter. I'd like to try and get some more of this lovely
species. Any tips?
Also, on a trip to Granada (Spain) I noticed some very nice
Acacia-like trees, Leguminosae anyway. They were used in the parks and
along the streets. The flowers were blue and they carried fruit that
looked like a simple beanpod, only almost circular and woody. The
seeds were small and had a sort of skirt to make the wind disperse
them I suppose. Of course I collected some fruits and now I have I
guess about 50 seeds that look perfectly viable to me. Any tips on
the identification and propagation of this one?
By the way, I thought I subscribed to the Digest version of this
list, but I keep getting separate messages any explanation?
with regards
Rolf
