I've propagated a few Davidia's from seed & its really quite easy. Warm
stratify the seeds (best done I think in coarse sand) until the radicle
appears & then cold stratify for about three [3] months in a fridge at
2-3 degrees centigrade. Allow to germinate fully at 20 - 25 degrees
centigrade (once again I prefer sand).
I'll see whether I can come up with a few good references - perhaps
later today.
