As far as I know, strawberry-plants are kept in the ground. They are
hardy. If you plant them in the autumn, not later than october (in
Sweden) in good soil (fertilized with horse-shit, you can expect the
first harvest following midsummer. If you plant them in the spring you
have to wait for next summer.
