I have grown quite a few....

Plant fresh for better germination...

Yes, remove the pulp from the seed

Either... does not matter, I don't think. I plant them in pots and place
with the rest of my plants... They get normal day-night cycles. Push seed
about 1/2 inch into the potting media.
There are two species of Gieger Trees that are common in the US... Cordia
Boissieri has white flowers with yellow centers and Cordia Sebestena has
orange or scarlet flowers. (Caps on species are listed that way in Hortus
III).
