No direct experience,
but "From seed to Bloom" says "Chill seeds in refrigerator for 7
days, soak in warm water for 2 hours, then sow and place where temperatures
remain at constant 65 -70 degrees C." RHS A-Z .Encyclopedia of Garden
Plants says "sow seeds pf hardy perennials in containers in a cold
frame as soon as ripe or in spring"
Hope that this helps

Subject: Euphorbia villosaI wonder if anybody out there has any experience from germination of this species. It is from SE to C Europe, and is mentioned in RHS Index of Garden Plants, and in Perennials ( Vol 1 ) by Phillips,Rix. Could one expect that it would germinate at 70 F, because it grows in C and Southern Europe at low elevations, or can there still be a stratification requirement ? I guess I could try both a 70-40-70 treatment as well as sowing directly at 70. It flowers in April - June, so the seeds are probably ripe in the middle or later part of the summer, which would make me believe that they are subjected to pretty high temperatures through late summer and into October, followed by some cooler conditions Nov. - Feb. Followed by spring heat whereupon they germinate ????? Would be thankful for any tips.
