Hi Geoff,
Just catching up on the list and saw your post.
Can't help you with a source, but I wonder if this might be a strain
of Tagetes minuta? Richters sells them as Mexican Marigold, or
Weedkiller plant for it's nematodicidal and insecticidal properties.
Also supposed to destroy noxious weeds such as ground elder, bindweed,
couch grass and ground ivy, or so it says in the catalog.
I grew them a couple times a few years ago and they are very large
plants, easily in the 6-8' range, well branched and bushy. They
never flowered for us, our season was too short for them, but this
particular plant aparently sports only small yellow flowers.
Perhaps Zempazuchil is a large flowered cultivar of this species?
