All pepper plants seem to have the same requirements for germination. I sow
my seeds in sterile seed mix ( sunshine) that has been pre-moistened and
place on a heat mat under lights. Now you can place them in a warm location
and the lights are not necessary for germination , but do not place in the
dark. Peppers will germinate for you I have found in a week if provided
with bottom heat. Habeneros do seem to take a bit longer. Bottom heat at 70
degrees if using a heat mat. Growing on is easy as long as you meet there
requirements of at least 8 or more hours of light and warmth. They do need
copious amounts of water during the flowering and fruiting stages.
