I have been watching the list for a while and am finally venturing out.
I read the reply to "Germinating Paeonia seeds" with a lot of interest.
I made me wonder if this might be the same situation with
"daphne mezereum". I have 2 pots of seeds under lights(at 65 degrees)
after 4 months at 40 degrees. They all have produced radicle(the
radicles are growing.)
Should i just leave them be. I am a novice at growing these kinds of
seeds
am not used to the longer germination times...
but i have the Deno books...and have currently growing, nandina, mahonia
amsonia. I am afraid i jumped the gun by 6 months on our Zone 6 growing
season.
I hope my Daphne question isn't a waste of all your time but i am trying
to learn.
Also...is there an excellent book on identifying seeds and pods? I have
Dirr's
books but i am looking for something that only deals with seed shapes
etc
Thank you all for your time
Pat Kendell
