Re: Salvia azurea var. grandiflora


H i Dale,  I've found this perennial to be one of the easiest to root. 
First question: Are your cuttings too late?  In upstate NY, I take mine at
the end of June while the growth is still soft but not too new.  I also use
only tip cuttings.  Second question:  What strength hormone are you using? 
I've been using  Hormodin #1,  forget what percentage it is, but I use for
all herbaceous plants.  I assume that all other factors are OK (humidity,
water, light,  medium?).

I have this plant growing approx 100 miles north of NYC in Z5.  Doesn't set
seed but comes back reliably. Is not quite as reliable in z4, but does
