Hi everybody,
I was talking to a friend the other day who said that she had been
advised by 4 dahlia growers around here (Seattle area) to dig up her
bulbs this year because El Nino promises a wet and soggy winter and
bulbs might rot in the ground this year. I told her that I had heard
just the opposite about El Nino!! I thought that California (among
other areas) should expect very wet conditions, but up here in the
Pacific NW, we should expect a drier, milder winter.
Does anyone out there know "The Truth" about El Nino in the Pac. NW?
And then, what precautions or preparations should we be taking right
now?
Thanks in advance. (I realize that many of you reading this are in
other parts of the country - all replies about El Nino would be
interesting...)
