Texas Star is a beautiful hardy hibiscus with maple like leaves. I'd never grown it before this year when I received a generous supply of seed in an exchange. Almost all of the seed sprouted and grew giving me far more plants than I needed. So I took some I potted to the flea market. Some folks will just put their heads together and whisper behind their hands. Others will ask if I'm selling marijuana. Although there were a couple of people who asked if they were japanese maples. What a joy when they bloomed. Thank goodness I was never threatened with arrest. If you're able to find seed it's very easy to grow.
