A paper coffee filter works very nicely for the final rinse and drying of
pulpy seed. I wash such seed in a fine sieve and gently but steadily
remove as much pulp as possible without smashing the seed. When it is gone
and any hull, skin, or coat has also been removed, I use a coffee filter to
give it a final rinse. Allow the seed (in small batches if need be) to dry
flat on the filter paper when excess water has drained away. Because it is
a tough yet fine-grained paper, the seed does not tend to stick to it quite
so hard as it dries. If by chance it does, the seed can be peeled or
teased off with less chance of paper sticking.
An added bonus...you can label the seed by writing bot name on the edge of
the paper :-)
