If your peppers are held out on the ends of the stems, sorta pointed
outward, they're probably 'Arbol', or tree pepper. A place here in
Texas sells seed and claims they're an antique variety. They're
edible but hot. NOT as hot as Habanero, tho. I like them because
they are a gorgeous shade of lavender and purple, turning to red when
really ripe. The leaves, if I recall are small and dark and pointy.
